Burning Man Founder Larry Harvey Has Died At 70


The month April has been a rough one for the music industry. A little over a week ago,  Swedish DJ and producer died unexpectedly while vacationing in Oman, and the entire EDM Community is still mourning his loss. This past Saturday, April 28th, another dance music advocate has left this world: Larry Harvey, the legendary Burning Man founder, has passed away at 70 years old.

Larry suffered a massive stroke on April 4th, which left him unconscious and in critical condition. During all this time he had an unknown prognosis, as the real damage caused by the stroke was hard to determine. He was surrounded by his family at the time his death.

Since the news the stroke became public, burners all over the world were invited to share stories photos and videos Larry on the . Marian Goodell, CEO and Board member, Burning Man Project, stated:
